There are a bunch of things to do and places to see, making visiting this city fun and exciting for the entire family. Here are just a few things that you can do while you visit. One exciting thing that you can do is to go whitewater rafting on the Chattahoochee River. Doing this would definitely be fun for the entire family. Geographically, this river serves as a natural border between Georgia and Alabama. The Chattahoochee River also holds a record for the largest urban whitewater rafting retreat in the world. People describe this river as “wild as the Colorado River, and warm as Costa Rica!” If this isn’t exciting enough, there is a zip line right above the river that allows visitors to zip across to the Alabama side of the river. Once they get over there, they can take a trip back to Georgia! This river brings in a lot of tourists, and you will certainly enjoy yourself.

One of the other exciting things to do there is to go golfing. I personally love golfing, but I can’t seem to ever find a good spot to swing the clubs. Callaway Gardens Golf Course has the solution to this problem. The greens are perfect and the fairways are perfectly cut. It’s almost like there isn’t a single blade of grass out of place. I’ve always been intrigued by this at basically every golf course I’ve been to, but this course is different. One other amazing golf course in Columbus is Bull Creek Golf Course. This golf course has many characteristics, but I think the most interesting part about this course is that it’s ranked in the top 25 best golf courses in the United States. The course has 36 holes, and the green fee per person on weekdays is $31, $33 if you want to golf on the weekends.

There are a lot of exciting things about Columbus, Georgia, and these are only two great things to do with your family while you visit. There are other things, like gym supercenters and sports complexes, so don’t think that there is a shortage of things to do here. Whatever you like to do, there is probably something for you here in Columbus.
